Mission:

To teach jump rope to children in Tanzania and Kenya, using it as a means of fostering confidence, teamwork, and leadership, and to provide an infrastructure in which participants can succeed, develop healthy lifestyles, take on leadership roles and strengthen social ties.

Vision:

Within 5 years, national Teams from Tanzania and Kenya will compete in the FISAC-IRSF(International Rope Skipping Federation) Worlds Competition.

Success in Tanzania and Kenya will lead to the development of jump rope programs in adjacent countries, and eventually throughout the rest of Africa, Southwest Asia and South America.

Jump rope will be accessible to all people of the world, and act as a vehicle to foster the development of future leaders and promote international cooperation.

With the collaboration of FISAC, USA Jump Rope, and all participating countries and organizations, jump rope will be recognized as an Olympic Sport.

Implementation

One World One Rope will build a network of committed coaches, trainers, and facilitators in Tanzania and Kenya, thereby providing an infrastructure that ensures the spread of the sport of jump rope within each participating country.

Self-sufficient national jump rope organizations in Tanzania and Kenya will promote and spread jump rope by hosting workshops, organizing community performances and holding national competitions.

To assure a steady and affordable source of jump ropes, One World One Rope also seeks to collaborate with agricultural cooperatives and microenterprise in the design and production of jump ropes from locally-produced sisal, a member of the agave plant family.
